Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms govern your use of GrowthBuilder (the "Service"), provided by Growthworks Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16947397), registered office Office 2 Falcon House, Albion Mills, Hutson Street, Bradford, BD5 7LZ, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who the Service is for
GrowthBuilder is a business tool for building and publishing websites. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 and are using the Service for the purposes of your trade, business or profession (not as a consumer). If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind it to these terms.
2. Your account
- Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- One person or business per account. You may build sites for your own clients.
3. Free trial
New accounts get a 7-day free trial with 1 site and 10 pages written in Fast mode. No card is needed. When the trial ends your account moves to the free plan unless you subscribe. Trial limits may change for new sign-ups; we will show the current limits before you start.
4. Plans, payment and cancellation
- Paid plans are billed monthly in advance by card through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total you pay. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. If we become VAT registered we will tell you at least 30 days before VAT is added, as for any price change.
- Each plan includes a monthly page allowance and other limits shown on our pricing page. Allowances reset each month when your subscription renews, and unused pages do not roll over. Top-up page packs are one-off purchases available to paying subscribers; they expire when your subscription next renews.
- You can cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month; you keep paid features until then.
- No refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for part months, unused page allowances and top-ups, except where the law requires otherwise.
- If a payment fails we may suspend paid features until it is paid.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The change applies from your next billing month after the notice period; you can cancel before then.
5. What the Service does — and does not — promise
- The Service uses automated tools, including AI, to research keywords and write website content. Generated content can contain mistakes. You are responsible for checking everything before you publish it, including prices, services, areas, opening hours and any claim about your business.
- Only publish claims you can support. The Service will only add insurance, accreditations, guarantees, reviews, ratings or experience to a site if you enter them yourself, and you are responsible for their accuracy. Do not enter reviews that are not genuine.
- We do not guarantee search engine rankings, traffic, enquiries, sales or any result. Search engines decide what they index and rank.
- Keyword volumes and similar data come from third parties and are estimates.
- Publishing uses your own hosting account (currently Netlify). Your hosting account, domain names and DNS are your responsibility and governed by those providers' terms.
- Some features are marked "coming soon". They are not part of your plan until we release them.
6. Your content and websites
- You own the content created for your sites through the Service and the details you give us. You give us permission to store and process it to provide the Service.
- Where we process personal data on your behalf (for example enquiries submitted through your sites), our Data Processing Addendum forms part of these terms.
- Enquiries submitted through forms on your sites are your data. We process them for you as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Your sites must comply with the law, including consumer protection, advertising and data protection law. Your sites' own privacy and legal pages are provided as a starting point; you are responsible for making sure they are right for your business.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to: publish unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing content; publish fake reviews or impersonate another business; send spam; attempt to access other users' data or our systems; overload the Service or get around usage limits; or resell access to the Service itself without our written agreement. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces your paid plan, you may cancel and we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.
9. Our intellectual property
The Service, its software, templates and design are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the website templates as part of sites you publish through the Service.
10. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
- We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, or for indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
11. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may end or suspend your account if you break these terms or do not pay, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason. Sites already published to your own hosting account stay there.
12. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. We may update these terms; we will email you about material changes and the date shown above will change. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
